Quit Capper before deleting it.
A normal Quit gives Capper the chance to restore Caps Lock and stop its recovery helper.
- If you want to free the Polar device slot, open Settings and choose Deactivate This Mac.
- Remove Capper in System Settings → General → Login Items if you enabled launch at login.
- Choose Quit Capper from the menu-bar menu.
- Confirm Caps Lock behaves normally.
- Move Capper from Applications to the Trash.
Uninstalling or reinstalling does not restart the local trial. Deleting the app does not cancel a Cloud subscription; use the Polar customer portal to cancel.
If Capper did not quit cleanly
Reopen Capper so its recovery path can restore the mapping, then quit it normally. If that is not possible, restarting macOS clears the volatile keyboard remap.
