Set up Capper without losing your place.
The essentials for the first launch, followed by focused guides for each part of the setup.
First launch
- Open Capper and paste the license key from your Polar receipt email.
- Grant Accessibility when Capper asks. Screen Recording is not required.
- Choose Caps Lock, Option–Space, Control–Space, or a supported custom shortcut.
- Choose a Local model server or Capper Cloud, then run the explicit connection test.
- Use the Try It field to confirm your trigger and model before finishing.

How a normal request works
Focus a supported text field, select text when you want to rewrite it, and press your configured trigger. Enter an instruction and press Return. Capper displays the exact editing target before generation and waits for you to choose Copy or Apply.
